Simple Present:
Active : They do homework.
Passive : Homework is done.
Soru : Is homework done?

Simple Past:
Active : They received a letter.
Passive : A letter was received.
Soru : Was a letter received.

Present Continuous
Active : They are selling the cars.
Passive : The cars are being sold.
Soru: Are the cars being sold?

Yukarıdaki örneklerde de gördüğümüz gibi passive cümlenin soru şekli "to be" fiilinin başa alınması ile yapılıyor. Eğer cümlenin kendi yardımcı fiili varsa (have-has-can-may...v.b.) bu yardımcı fiil başa alınır ve cümle soru şekline çevrilmiş olur.

Present Perfect
Active : They have furnished the flats.
Passive : The flats have been furnished.
Soru : Have the flats been furnished?

Past Perfect
Active : They had paid the bill.
Passive : The bill had been paid.
Soru : Had the bill been paid?

Simple Future
Active : They will ask questions.
Passive : Questions will be asked.
Soru : Will questions be asked?

Cümleler:
Active : They could see the ship.
Passive : The ship could be seen.
Soru : Could the ship be seen?

Active : They might have caught him.
Passive : He might have been caught.
Soru : Might he have been caught?

Active : They ought to take Ayşe to hospital.
Passive : Ayşe ought to be taken to hospital.
Soru : Ought Ayşe to be taken to hospital?

Active : They may give you the questions.
Passive : The questions may be given to you.
Soru : May the questions be given to you?

Konuşma dilinde "Active" cümle olarak söylendiğinde güzel olmayan, ancak passive söylendiğinde güzel olan anlatımlar vardır. Şimdi bunlara birkaç örnek verelim.
